There is something so satisfying about a big, bakery-style muffin with that tall, golden dome. Crisp on top, soft in the middle, and full of flavour.

Starting baking can feel a little overwhelming at first. There are so many recipes, techniques, and little details that can make you wonder if you are doing it “right.” The truth is — baking does not have to be complicated.

This is one of those cakes that looks a little bit special, but is actually so simple to make and is one of my absolute favourites.
