If you are looking for something quick, simple, and always a crowd-pleaser, this chocolate fudge is one of those recipes you will come back to again and again.

It is rich, smooth, and melts in your mouth — and the best part is, it takes very little effort to make. Just a few ingredients, one bowl, and a little bit of patience while it sets.

For a fun seasonal twist, you can swap in Mini Eggs, which add a lovely crunch and make it perfect for Easter treats or gifts.

Why this recipe works

Using condensed milk makes this fudge incredibly smooth and creamy, without needing any complicated steps.

The combination of milk and white chocolate gives it a balanced sweetness, while the vanilla adds a soft, warm flavour in the background.

It is simple, reliable, and perfect for beginners.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tin (397g) condensed milk

  • 300g chocolate (milk, dark, or a mix)

  • 100g white chocolate

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Optional: 150g Mini Eggs, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Line a square baking tin with parchment paper.

  2. Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it in the microwave in short bursts (about 20–30 seconds at a time), stirring in between until smooth.

  3. In a mixing bowl, pour the condensed milk over the melted chocolate and stir until fully combined and smooth.

  4. Add the white chocolate (melted or finely chopped so it melts into the mixture) and mix well.

  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  6. If you are using Mini Eggs, fold them in at this stage.

  7. Pour the mixture into your lined tin and smooth the top

  8. Place in the fridge for at least 2–3 hours, or until fully set.

  9. Once set, remove from the tin and cut into small squares.

Simple tips for perfect fudge

Melt the chocolate slowly in the microwave to avoid it burning — stirring between each burst helps keep it smooth.

Make sure everything is well combined before pouring into the tin so your fudge sets evenly.

Let it chill fully before cutting for the best texture.

A little Easter twist 🐣

For something a little more fun and seasonal, decorating it with Mini Eggs adds a lovely crunch and a pop of colour.

You can mix them through the fudge or sprinkle extra on top before it sets for a more decorative finish.

A little note from my kitchen table
